The Nueva School was founded in 1967, and in 2017 they were positioned to celebrate their 50th anniversary in a big way! With over 1,300 expected to attend, Holle worked with skilled event planners to art direct an overall look-n-feel that would be applied to invitations, social media, oversized posters, banners, as well as apparel, way-signage, photo booth prints, leather coasters, cake design and more. A famous event of the late 60s was the Woodstock Festival in upstate New York. The team knew they wanted tie-dye to dominate with a groovy vibe. Holle presented various directions and in the end all couldn’t resist the play on a Woodstock theme. The bird on guitar was subtly tweaked to avoid copyright infringement. The poster design was so successful that students and staff began taking them down — more were ordered!
